London traffic proved a greater obstacle to Milton Keynes' continued drive
for promotion than lowly Lea Valley, who could not muster enough players to
validate the fixture. Consequently the game was awarded 5-0 to MK Storm.
 
MK loaned players to the home side, and a friendly match ensued. MK won a
free-flowing contest 13-3, which possibly flattered the hosts.
 
MK now need just one victory from their final two fixtures this weekend to book their
place in the promotion play-offs. Should they win both, they will top the league
for the first time this season.
