Having won so convincingly in London the previous day, MK expected to rack up a cricket score on home ice, but they rarely showed their best hockey. Ross Green grabbed a brace of goals early in the first period (2:52 & 5:07), and Jacob Heron (15:57) a third at the start of the second period. But with too many single-handed attacks, and a fabulous display of reaction netminding by Haringey's Tipple, the home side had to wait until the final minutes of the match to register their fourth goal, which provided Ross Green (43:40) with a hat-trick.
