The second period saw a re-energised Storm really step up a gear scoring three unanswered goals. David Carson got two and Fraser Green chipped in with a neat re-bound. Period two was full of fluent hockey with some good passing moves and some ruthless defence which saw more physical contact than the first period.
Storm remained in charge for the final period and scored two more before allowing a late consolation goal for
Chelmsford. David Carson got his third from a seemingly impossible angle which involved a blind turn (or was it a pirouette?) and low shot. Fraser Green got his second by again being in the right place to snaffle a re-bound.
Shout count was MK 29 and
Chelmsford 12, which may sound like Sophie had a quiet time, but she put in several good stops to keep
Chelmsford frustrated.
