Comfortable victory for Storm

 

 

After two fairly easy wins against Basingstoke, next up were the bottom team, Haringey Bulldogs and we all know what can happen against bottom teams though don't we.

 

 

Fortunately MK started just like their last home game and were one up in 12 seconds, MK crashed the net and Douglas found Matt for a tap in 1-0. Just a minute later Matt finished a solo effort to make it 2-0. The rest of the team excited by this then tried to get in on the act. Macca charged down the wing and sent over a lovely cross and moments later Ryan did the same, neither were converted though. Thomas picked the puck up from just inside the blue line and let fly but the shot was wide. Haringey woke up and tried to make some inroads but Connor stopped them dead. Jonathan and Ashley mounted an attack and Johnathan shot was pushed wide, Matt took over and blazed over the bar followed by Macca who surged past three men before attempting a wrap-a-round but the keeper saved. On 6 minutes a lovely pass from Ryan was tucked away by Luc, 3-0, Jack cleared up a rare attack and then the action switched back to the Bulldogs end. Macca hit a superb backhand pass to Matt, Matt returned it but Macca's shot was saved. Matt then completed his hat-trick with a strike that seemed to go through the keeper, 4-0. MK seemed to decide there was no need for a defence and suddenly Jordan is facing two strikers, no problem shot saved. Matt gains immediate revenge for the threat with a solo effort and his number 4, 5-0. Jack and Thomas neatly mop up another attack and moments later Thomas clears to Matt he crosses to Macca but the shot is saved. Emma finishes the period with a breakaway but she too sees the shot saved.
