Mad March (5 games this month) kicked-off or should that be faced-off with an away trip to Haringey. Haringey's rink is at the wonderful

, always worth a visit. The hockey team is actually a combination of U10's and U12's so always struggle at the higher level.
With both normal coaches missing Paul Gore and Mike Clement took the reins and very nicely they did too. The lines were slightly adjusted but it worked as during the first period
Jordan
had just 4 shots to save. Well done to Jack and Garth, Thomas and Callum keeping those opportunities down. Goals at the other end came slowly at first but increased their regularity as the period went on. Macca started things off assisted by Ryan; in fact Ryan orchestrated the early play, as he was involved in 4 out of the first 5 goals. Dougie notched his second of the season for number 5. Impressively the first 6 goals all came from a different player. The 6th being the pick as Thomas stopped a marauding Bulldog on MK's blue line and then skated up the ice past two player, drew the netminder and laid it back to Jonathan L to tuck it home. It was not until the 7th went in that Matthew notched his second of the night a minute before the buzzer.
MK changed their netminder for the second and final period. Jonathan M soon had the envious task of trying to survive a 5 on 3 as both Ryan and Matthew were in the bin. He survived 1m 20 before the Bulldogs scored but then saved well to prevent a second PP goal moments later. Luc now decided to take over and he tucked away three goals in under 6 minutes as MK hit double figures. Jonathan M then saved a one on one chance from Haringey to keep their score at one before, unbelievably a Haringey shorthander interrupted things. Daniel Miller in his first game of the season did well to clear the puck across the ice to Macca, before Matthew got his hat trick for the 11th, Thomas a very neat back hander into the far corner for the 12th and Jonathan L his second of the night, with Emma's second assist to wrap things up and make the final score 13-2.
Yes I know it was only Haringey but this was a nice controlled performance with plenty of points had by all. Next week it's away again and a bit harder,
