 LEARN TO PLAY ICE HOCKEY

Learn to Play is a course for potential ice hockey players, who are interested in joining the Milton Keynes Storm Junior Ice Hockey Club.

Courses are run by the Milton Keynes Junior Club under the direction of Nick Poole, Director of Junior Development.

The course allows children to experience the sport in a fun and safe environment.  Skates can be hired free of charge from Planet Ice, and the Club provides a helmet and stick.

The half hour group session caters for beginners; however, children must be able to move unaided across the ice.  These sessions are primarily aimed at children aged 12 and under, but older children can be accommodated with a view to joining our development squad.

Children progress at their own pace and work toward the EIHA (English Ice Hockey Association) grade 6; which is the minimum standard required for joining the Junior Club.  On completion of Grade 6 a place in the Junior Club may be offered if space is available within the childs age group.
The half hour sessions take place every Wednesday evening, 6.15-6.45pm at Planet Ice. The first session is free of charge, and subsequent sessions cost £4.
