MK Storm have made an arrangement with the Shokk Youth Gym at Stantonbury Campus.

The gym have agreed to waive the joining fee for all MK Storm members . The cost will be £3.00 per visit and I have attached a timetable showing available hours .

Please be aware that the coaches will be those employed by Stantonbury Campus and not MK Storm coaches and any

programmes developed will be general fitness training and not ice hockey specific although they are able to target stamina and balance etc .

Members need to be between the ages of 8 – 16 . Although the gym may not be suitable for all children and some older children may find that they are too tall for the equipment.

All children will need to complete the two compulsory induction sessions before they can use the gym ‘on their own’

Children will need to show their MK Storm membership card on arrival and all parents will need to complete a health questionnaire for their children

All staff are fully CRB checked

Parents are able to leave their children and collect them afterwards

The gym can accommodate around  12 members at any one time

The staff are not allowed to be alone with an individual child . If a child is the only one using the gym then a parent may be asked to stay if another coach is not available.

Children would need to arrive changed although they can if needed use the changing rooms for the swimming pool

The coaches are able to do a programme for the children alternatively the children can move around the equipment at their own pace.

There is  a room attached to the gym and the coaches will use this for team games, circuits  and using other fitness equipment.
