Milton Keynes Storm Under 18s (Division 1 South) 3rd January 2010.
Slough Jets 1 v MK Storm 20
(1-8, 0-6, 0-6)

Words by Sean Nicklin

Milton Keynes Storm continued their outstanding form of 2009 into the New Year with a stunning victory over a valiant Slough side, whose spirited efforts simply could not compete with an experienced MK roster at the peak of its offensive powers. A stunningly simple passing move had given the visitors the lead after only 15 seconds, and from this point, it was simply a question of how many for MK. All lines dominated for MK but special mention has to be given to the offensive unit of Connor Goode, Jacob Heron and Josh Nicklin, who racked up 13 goals and 17 assists between them. In defence MK slipped up only once early in the match, but were rarely pressed for the remainder of the game.
MK have a number of important fixtures this month, and cannot expect such welcoming defences, but the confidence and composure they showed on all lines can only help them in their bid for a first league title.
