7 Change of club name to MK Storm Ice Hockey Club
As club is know by several names eg MKJIHC; MK Storm etc, to give the club consistency and formally recognise Storm in the name. It was felt that a change of name would involve a lot of immediate additional paper work eg change of bank details, CRBs etc. However the subject should be considered over the coming season with a view to change for 10/11 season. Possibly look to group brand MK hockey, making the juniors Milton Keynes Lightning Junior ice Hockey Club / Academy.
7 Charity Status
David Carmichael has been asked to research and prepare a report into the pros and cons of the club becoming a charity. If it was found to be beneficial then an EGM would be called and the members asked to vot.
